Heading for the Light
Here we are paddling into the sunlight across the Rio Negro, a large tributary of the Amazon. We sailed high up in to the remotest regions of the Rio Negro, stopping along the way to paddle some of its more untouched tributaries. Doing this on paddle boards enabled us to access areas that you could never get a boat or kayak in to, whereas with a paddleboard, when you get to a tree trunk blocking the tributary, it is relatively easy to step out and pull the paddle board around to the other side and carry on.
